Color

#FEF9EFCream — warm canvas.

#7A4520Cocoa-deep — dark band + hero base (cream text AA 7.4:1).

Type

Instrument Serif · display · 400 (regular + italic) · hero H1 clamp(48px,8vw,90px) / ls -0.03em / lh 1.0 · H2 ~42px
Inter · body · 400–700 The quiet strength of a white oak, the warmth of real North Carolina light. Body copy stays calm and readable — generous line-height, restrained measure, never clinical. Inter carries the body and the large stat numerals.

Buttons (full pills · 50px)

Primary · cocoa + cream Secondary · cream + ink Cream · light pill on dark Outline · on dark

Full-pill buttons (border-radius:50px, padding:11px 22px, label 14.5px). Every CTA uses an AA-passing pairing — cocoa #99582A + cream is 5.3:1; cream + ink and cream-2 + ink are both very high contrast. Cocoa is never used as small text on cream below body size where it would drop under 4.5:1.

Spacing & radius

Generous, breathing whitespace is the point. Sections use padding: clamp(64px,9vw,118px) vertically; content max-width 1180px with fluid gutters clamp(20px,5vw,48px). Radii: pills 50px for buttons/chips, cards 22px, soft blocks 18px. Hero is min-height:90vh / max-height:100vh, vertically centered, with a 3-stat band pinned to its lower edge. H1 is clamp(48px,8vw,90px).

Atmosphere

Warm and grounded, like late-afternoon light on a North Carolina ridgeline. The page rests on a soft cream that feels like paper, and a deep cocoa-brown — the color of bark and warm earth — anchors the headlines, the dark band, and every button. Big serif headlines feel hand-set and human; Inter keeps the body and the numbers calm and clear. Nothing shouts. It reads like a steady person offering a hand: strength first, never crisis, with room to breathe on every screen.
